We’re talking actual barstools here, you know, the kind you sit on, while you hang out with good friends, toss back a few tall ones, maybe catch the game… without a care in the world, if only for an hour or two.
Now combine barstool good times with four wheels, a little rocket-like propulsion, a sweet powder-coated paint job, maybe some magnesium wheels, and what do you get? Intense mega-fun like nothing you've ever experienced!

Now, long-time motor-sports enthusiast, technician and entrepreneur Chuck Calvert and a silent partner have taken over and moved operations to Madison, Wisconsin. The last few months we've been expanding warehouse office space, replenishing inventories, organizing staff, and establishing banking and dealership relationships. Now that the details are out of the way, Rocket Enterprises LLC is psyched to ensure that the Rocket Barstool lives on bigger and better than ever.
Barstool racers have been around since the early 1990's, maybe even earlier, and became an official race class at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1998. Yep, the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah where land speed records for all types of vehicles have been recorded, including the official barstool record of just over 47 mph. Hold tight, dude…
A little business called Rocket Manufacturing, Inc., creator and manufacturer of the first Rocket Barstools, took the hobby to a whole new level in 2006 with the formation of the IBRA - International Barstool Racing Association. Yes, an impressive cash prize to the victors was even part of these unique events.
So, how do you get in it? You might not ever race one at the Bonneville Salt Flats, but you can get your own customized Rocket Barstool and race it around any location of your choice. Pull up to the neighborhood block party this summer on it. Take it to your next tailgate party. Or the golf course. Fire it up at the next NASCAR event, or the campground. No need to put a limit on the places that the Rocket Barstool can bring good times, just do it responsibly and have a blast with it.
The possibilities are endless, and so are the ideas for making yours a complete original. You supply the idea (the most unique one we’ve been asked to create yet is the Fire Truck hook and ladder!) and Chuck and crew will make it happen.
